opening day

as you all surely know, today is the first day of baseball season. what better time to make some predictions, who's going all the way and who's just going under. many people ask me about the pirates and whether this will be their year or not, being from pittsburgh and all, unfortunately, i don't think it will be, at least not until they turn their management around. i like the reds and the tigers, but i think when it comes down to it, the angels and the cardinals will square off in the only series that matters. i'll take the cardinals in 6, gotta stay true to the nl.

andy on the other hand, swears he sees potential in the reds this season. although, he might be a little ohio bias since almost every time we're in cincinnati he sits down with jay bruce for a cup of coffee. andy also picks the angels from the al, perhaps because he is a big danny glover fan, or maybe he just likes the bullpen. regardless, he stays true to his ohio roots and goes with the reds to take all the marbles and win the world series for the first time since 1990.

thanks for reading our predictions. if you have any of your own we'd love to hear them at our next show in your town.

sincerely,
ryan

Been a long off-season

We haven't played so many shows this winter but we've been writing new songs for the upcoming regular season. We're trying to win our division this year, but we can't do it without our fans. We have a preseason game tomorrow at BAT CHAPTERS, we're trying out a lot of new songs and it's ANDY's birthday!

FEB 18th @ BAT CHAPTERS
w/SHUT UP (dayton)
RCI (dayton)
WEAKNESS (cincinnati)

if you got andy pitching lessons this year, he won't need them though he might need a pair of new socks.

Put Me In Coach

Here is a drawing our roadie/bench coach Emily Jimmerson made on our weekend string of away games back in the summer.

Some people have said he looks like our old pitching coach Don "The Spitter" Spitz, but we haven't stepped on the same diamond as him in years.

Postseason Pressure

What's up everyone,
It's getting colder outside and we're catching a fever; playoff fever. We recently had our tape reviewed on Razorcake website:

Check it out if you are interested.

POST DIT FEST PRESS CONFERENCE

We sat down immediately after our show at DIT Fest and did our first press conference. We talked to the reporters about the game and our team, answering questions about our new songs and this years All-Star game. It felt good talking to the press after such a big victory, even though we might come off as a little camera shy.

D.I.T. FEST!

We are so pumped that we have been asked to play at D.I.T. Fest in Kent, Ohio. It takes place on September 10th and 11th and it's always a great time. The shows are at The Vineyard and Professor's Pub. For more details visit http://www.ditfest.blogspot.com/. We hope to see you there!

7th Inning Stretch

Hey everyone!

It's been a couple innings since we've given you an update. So let me get ya up to speed. Our All-Star catcher Ryan Starinsky hit the road with The Sidekicks (www.myspace.com/sidekicks) and has been filling in on bass for them on their July tour. So we've been taking a short break for the month of July. But now that August is almost here, we're about to get back into the swing of things and we have a few shows coming up:

August 6th - Columbus, OH - The Monster House w/ Evil Grimace, The New Mexico, and others.

August 7th - Fairview Park, OH - Bohlken Park Benefit Show w/ Max Stern, The Setbacks, Adam Klopp, and many others

Hopefully we'll be seeing everyone soon! Also, we're doing a second pressing of our tapes, so if you want one and haven't gotten one, let us know!! thanks for reading!!

love,
Ryan and Andy
